The main event of the latest UFC bout on Fuel TV 2 is between two light heavyweights, Alexander Gustafsson and Thiago Silva.
As champion Jon Jones goes from one great name after another in the light heavyweight division, the mission is on to searh the next up-and-coming competitor at 205 pounds. Gustafsson's name has become a famous pick in that note, and why not? Gustafsson is an intelligent fighter who knows when to choose his spots. He uses his pace and his reach well. He can go one-on-one or he can finish you from the zero. He's grabbed four consecutive UFC fights, all by awesome finishes within two rounds and with his momentum increasing with each fight.
Silva was also the popular light heavyweight with four consecutive finishes inside of 10 minutes. But then the American Top Team fighter ran into a series of difficulties, from a neck injury, to a Nevada suspension significant to an attempt at a fake drug test sample, to the simple truththat he's come up short against professional competition, with losses to former champions Lyoto Machida and Rashad Evans.
