Whereas Cotto is a great fighter in his own right, anyone with even a fleeting interest in boxing has been craving after a “Mayweather vs Pacquiao” showdown; a fight which unfortunately seems never to be materialized. Mayweather again this week was profoundly implied that Pacquaio has used prohibited performance enhancing drugs, apparently ending whatever twinkle of a chance may have lingered.

Mayweather would be the bookies preferred fighter in almost any fight in which the two men were weaponless and permitted only to use their fists, so it's no wonder to him marked up as the 1/6 favorite (Betfred, Ladbrokes). Cotto is the 6/1 stranger (Sportingbet, Bwin) and the draw is 33/1 (Skybet, Boylesports).
Cotto fought Manny Pacquiao before in which he was devastatingly defeated. On the other hand, Mayweather also fought Eric Morales before in which he showed up how strong he is for the small Morales. In these previous fights of these two great boxers we can say that Cotto has something to prove and we believe he will punch this out to Mayweather’s face on Saturday.

Though Manny Pacquiao was not on the other side of the ring against Mayweather, Cotto will make this as awesome as any other championship bout in the boxing world.
