Lakers Vs. Thunder Conference Semi-finals 2012

Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Lakers will again face in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals tonight. Game starts at 9:30 p.m. ET at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. The game will be a live coverage on TNT.

After the Lakers’ loss of the season, they’re looking forward to even up their series with the Thunder. The Thunder came into Game 1 as weighty favorites, and they definitely lived up to anticipations. They won against the Lakers 119-90. Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant managed the way with 27 and 25 points respectively. However, Kobe Bryant just put in 20 points for the Lakers.

Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum will have to play much better if Los Angeles expects to tie the series at 1-1. They both combined for 30 points, and didn't have much influence on the game.

The Thunder has had an equally relaxed time scoring against their opponent, the Lakers. They scored at least 100 points in all of the four games between the two teams this season. They completed the season third in the NBA scoring at 103.1 points per game.

Precisely, the Lakers will have to break Russell Westbrook’s game strategy. The point guard scored 27 points on 10-15 shooting last on Monday. He also dipped out nine assists and took seven rebounds.
If the Lakers point guards can't cup tie Westbrook, then Kobe Bryant will have to do a better work of setting up points. The second-leading scorer in the regular season put in just 20 points in Game 1 on 7-18 shooting. Bryant is in arrears of LeBron James in keeping a score for the 2012 postseason.
